This past October we hosted our first ever FabSuite User Conference in Williamsburg, Virginia. Over 80 FabSuite Clients gathered at the Williamsburg Lodge in Colonial Williamsburg to further their FabSuite knowledge, learn from their peers on best practices and to meet with 15 of our industry’s biggest players such as Peddinghaus, Hypertherm, Autodesk and many, many more!
Prior to the User Conference official start, a Golf Tournament sponsored by Peddinghaus was held Sunday morning at the Green Course in Colonial Williamsburg. Over 12 men participated in the tournament and surprisingly, there was a two-way tie!
The FabSuite User Conference officially kicked off Sunday evening on the Virginia Lawn of the Williamsburg Lodge. It was a perfect, crisp October evening full of drinks, hors d’oeuvres and catching up with old (& new) friends!
Monday morning started off the conference strong with keynote speaker, Roger Ferch, discussing 50 Years in the Steel Industry. Attendees went on to breakout sessions with three separate track options – Management, Fabricator, or Estimator. Everyone was encouraged to mix match the track courses based on their level of interest. There were even a few Client Case Studies that were led by FabSuite users themselves. Our Partner Pavilion was open all day Monday as well.
Conference courses ended at 5pm on Monday with a FabSuite Dinner at 6pm. FabSuite users and industry partners were met with food stations, drinks and Govern Thomas Jefferson made a guest appearance!
Tuesday morning kicked off with a keynote address from our Executive Vice President, Chris Moor. Topics such as the new face change of FabSuite, our newest Vice Presidents, and FabSuite Go were discussed. Briefly after the keynote from Chris Moor, our Green level sponsors, Peddinghaus, Trimble and SDS/2, were given a time for a Partner Case Study. FabSuite users also got an insider look at the what’s new for FabSuite in 2018!
Attendees then went on to more breakout sessions with the given tracks. Lunch was served later that afternoon and the conference for the Fabricator and Estimator tracks concluded. Those who were there to attend the Management track stayed for the afternoon for our Management Guest Speaker, David Finkel. Finkel is the bestselling author of Build a Business, Not a Job. Over 40 attendees stayed to hear David Finkel speak. The FabSuite 2017 User Conference officially ended at 5pm Tuesday afternoon.
